’The Enfield Poltergeist’ reimagines the most famous poltergeist event of the 20th century through the 200 hours of tape recordings made in the house and testimony of those who were there.
Episode 1: The Happenings
A series of inexplicable events at the house of the Hodgson family in Green street is witnessed by journalists, neighbours and the police. Inventor Maurice Grosse arrives to investigate.
Episode 2: Forces unknown
Mysterious events in Green Street seem to focus on 12 year old Janet. The case attracts the interest of psychic investigators and physicists seeking to understand the forces at work.
Episode 3: This Thing
As Maurice is challenged by sceptics and the media, pressure mounts on the family, who are accused of faking the phenomena.
Episode 4: Entanglement.
Janet is sent away from Green St. As an adult, she looks back over the tapes to try to understand her story and the role Maurice played in the events.
